Default Helmet hangers on the bike?

Hi,
all of the goldwings I owned had two helmet hangers on the bottom of the trunk.

One of the first things I noticed on getting my '10 Ultra Limited was that there was no place to hang a helmet.

I know I can put it in the trunk - but if I am out running errands with the wife, there might not be room in the trunk...

Right now we hang them on the mirrors - but it is not the most secure spot.

So - for the folks who wear helmets - where do you put them on a touring bike when you're not wearing them?

I was thinking of getting a cable lock - but it would have to be one that could fit thru the D-Rings.

Suggestions?

thanks

Jim

It's always been a problem for me too. I usually just set my helmet over the shifter lever and hope no one bothers it. This can't be done on the brake side because of the exhaust pipe so the wife's helmet usually ends up hanging from the mirror. I'm anxious to see if anyone has a solution.

Check the Dec issue of American Iron Magazine, there's a write up on a helmet lock w/ cable that attaches to the handlebars.....

Harleys don't have microwave ovens either.

I have 2 full face Aria helmets - always just put them on the seat and snug them down using this cord:

I installed 7/8 helmet locks on my rear dresser bars. I keyed them the same and they work great. Check this site out. http://www.bikesax.com/Merchant2/mer...&Category_Code=
