I use the Harley helmet lock that I attached to my crash bar and hang it off the right peg...

I bought a heavy-duty pad lock with a shank that just fits into the round vent holes on the front brake disk. I can secure two full-face helmets (d-rings) using this method. Also serves as a wheel lock.

On our Ultra Classic, I installed two small hooks under the tour pack near the rear corners. Really works well for two helmets, wife thinks it's the best idea I ever came up with, why are wives so critical? The inside of the helmets stay dry if it rains too.

I just put it on my seat. Never had a problem. You can also hang it from the crash bar.
