Theres a safety switch in the clutch lever, I got it; but why won't the bike start while in gear with the clutch pulled in? All previous bikes would start that way, this one will only start in neutral. Is this the norm for the 2010's or is it maybe something with the ECM that can be changed back to normal?

My 2010 FLHTK will start in gear with the clutch pulled in. don't know about the ECM ask your dealer.
If it does not start in gear with the clutch pulled in, the clutch safety switch in the left switch housing is not making connection.
