Default I have a garmin on my flstsi 03

We tried to use it last fall in the mountains at Gatlinburg Tn We went down so many dead end roads I can't count them. Ok on main roads but the back woods was absolutely no use. I was in my truck at the time and would surly not wanted my Harley where we went.

I use a Garmin Nuvi 760 (other models are same pretty much except spome have different features). I have mine mounted on the left handle bar and has been on my Ultra and on my previous fatboy. So far, so good. I have ridden in all kinds of weather,
and have never covered it in the rain.

Same here...

I use a Magellan Maestro on my bike and in my car. Paid $100 for it on Amazon. Only problem was the glare on the screen when riding my bike. But because of this thread and db2753, I just ordered a glare protection thingy from the Mount Guys. Use their holder also. Easy on, easy off!

Thats what I do. I use the Windshield mount on my gas door and have never had a problem with it falling off. I run the earphone jack to the aux port on my radio and use the MP3 player along with the turn by turn Navigation. The Garmin automatically mutes the mp3 player when giving direction. My GPS will also send a FM signal that I can pick up with the radio if necessary.
