The map will be within reasonable tune so you can remove and reinstall the Silent insert with no issues. We do have specific maps for Quiet baffle with the Silent Insert installed. Note the Quiet baffle core itself is a chambered design with a very mild dB level and with the Silent Insert installed they are near the sound level of the stock mufflers so most looking for very quiet mufflers will still likely prefer the Quiet baffle with the insert removed. We simply want of offer something for every sound level preference.

Thanks Jamie for the dyno info. Finally I've decided what to do. The standard Jackpots are for me. If not enough sound level then will change baffles to the competition ones.

Best regards.

We will see what we can do but will will be a bit before we can get them back on the bike for sound testing as we are in them middle of testing some other products at the moment. It has been in the 40's and rain here for the past several weeks and are are hoping to get some decent weather to make a couple videos for the baffles this fall yet.

Are the Headpipes 49 state or Calif. ??

What was the difference -.10 db / 20% less flow with Ca. ?

I have a Ca. bike but swaped for the 49 state, sooo just wondering- running Reinhart

We are in Wisconsin and the testing was done with a non catalyst headpipe. I have not dB tested the catalyst headpipe, but as far as flow on a stock 96" motor they are very close to the non catalyst pipe.

Hi Jamie,

A question about your Quiet Baffle. I understand about the removable insert. Can the quiet baffle itself be removed to return the exhaust to a standard dyno tuned muffler status?

Thanks,
Steve R.

With the insert removed the quiet baffle is quieter than the Dyno Tuned baffle because the quiet baffle is chambered. There are dB comparisons listed in the first post of this thread that shows dB results for these 3 baffle combinations.

Hi Jamie,

Understood, I guess what I'm trying to ask is whether or not the quiet baffle itself can be removed to revert back to a standard dyno tuned muffler configuration? I understand that the insert can be installed and removed at will and appreciate the dB comparisons you posted.

Thanks!
Steve R.

Yes, there is a allen button head retaining bolt in the bottom of the muffler and the quiet baffle assembly can be removed and replaced with the standard Jackpot baffle very easily.
