Default What engine temp is PCV using and can I hook an HD gauge up to it?

I am brand new to the whole PCV thing and just used it for the first time to swap out a new map sent to me by Jamie @ Fuelmoto.

I noticed when plugged in my Laptop shows an Engine Temp reading. What temp is this Head Temp?

Is there a gauge I could install in my inner fairing that could tap into this temp that the bike already has a sensor for?

Would that gauge be any better than an Oil Temp Gauge?

Hope this isnt a stupid question New Harley Owner and New PCV User...

I would like to switch it for the air temp gauge that only tells you the outside air temp on a StreetGlide...what a waste for a gauge.

A lot of folks are swapping out the worthless air temp gauge for the oil temp gauge, it's a nice quick mod.

The PC-V uses the ECM's J1850 data bus for its channels including engine temp. The PC-V does not feature an output for these channels. When available you can use the Dynojet LCD display which will read all channels and engine parameters in real time and if you have the Auto tune it will read real time AFR as well.

Went straight to the dealer to get the matching gauge for my bike, works great but in the beginning I wished I hadn't done it. You get to watching it when you first install it but after a while the newness goes away then it's all good.
