Default ANybody Drilled The CAT on a 2010 SG?

Several Harley techs have told me to remove the stock muffler from my 2010 SG and take a 1" x 8" concrete bit and drill out the Catalyst in the headpipe and then put on the slip on of my choice. They say the bike will run better and sound better. Anybody done this?

Default 2010 Converter !

Just cut my converter last week , man that sh*t was really hard to get out ! I'm a machinist and I had a hard time getting all of it out . But it makes a hell of a diffrence on power , temp , and fuel mileage . I traded in a 09' streetglide for a 2010 streeglide , I only put 100 miles on it before I new the converter had to come out ! Now all I'm waiting on is fuelmoto to get that muffler finished and shipped ! Goodluck and enjoy your ride .

Yeah the techs told me "unofficially and off the clock"...lol, that by drilling you couldn't get it all but it would be enough to make a big difference. They also said to leave the muffler off and run it it for a couple of minutes to get all the loose material out once I drilled it. I went with the new D&D muffler for the '10 SG and they told be once I had the CAT drilled to slowly experiment with the baffle in the D&D until it was where I wanted it. They said they knew of 8 people that had done this and it worked great.

The only way to "cut" it is to cut the header pipe in half. That's way I ask about drilling in instead.
