doc, if you've got a 2010 SG the only extra brake lite available is the tri bar lite on bottom of rear fender. that plugs in on the same plug as the running lite you replace under the rear fender. mine took all of 10 minutes to do...
You got the HD part number by any chance? I'd like to add that to the '10 SG I bought Friday.

tri bar fender tip lite part # is 67774-10 msrp 129.95 its on pg 649 of the 2010 genuine motor accessories catalog
I added that to my 2010 Road Glide Custom. It should have come from the factory that way. To all the folks complaining about them removing the taillight on the FLTRX... this setup (2 running lights and tri-bar light) puts out a ton more light than a single bulb light on the fender.
hey doc, did you notice if your front faring squeeks a little bit mine does around 30mph, cant get to make noise in the garage. thanks
No squeeks here bro. Take her back to Harley and complain.
flhxkiller....
My bike came with the factory tri-bar light. What I want is all lights to activate during breaking. The part Harley sold me is 69462-06A page 645 Auxiliary Break light/running light/turn signal conversion kit, they say the connection in under my seat but I can't find it. I traced the wire from the rear and the plug is near the fuse box left side. So has anybody done this mod?

The kit you have is to convert the signal lights into running/brake lights... bikes with a single fender mounted taillight. That won't work on your bike because that's the way it is already wired to work. To get the tri-bar light to act as a brake light, you need the upgraded tri-bar light that was mentioned. It replaces the whole assembly and it is literally a 10 minute job. I highly recommend it, too.
I have the taillight, rear turn signals and tri-bar going ON when I hit the brakes on my '09 SG. If I had a 2010 bike, I would also use all the rear lights I could...

I have recently purchased a 2010 Streetglide (English version with dual pipes as I am in the UK) and bought the Tri Bar light upgrade to increase braking visablity plus it looks cool. after fitting I found it worked but the indicators/brake lights now don't work, all that happens is the left hand rear indicator stays on and nothing else but the tribar works including brake light.
Thinking it was a duff one I took it back to the dealer who replaced it and guess what?? ... the same symptons! either they are a dodgy batch or something is not compatable? can't think of anything else? any ideas?
Is the frame on the 2010 new or the same as the 2009?
For what it is worth there was a thread a few months back stating that the 09 frames were discontinued because they were having a few issues with cracking. The guy posting claimed that they had discontinued making a 2009 frame and had removed it from the parts look up and it could not be ordered. He said they only were offering the new improved 2010 frame for replacements on the 2009 models.
I could never confirm this with anyone I spoke to but I think if there was a problem and a change that is was very minor and really only made the frame better.
