As many threads as I have read about the HK radios fuggen up I opted for the Road Tech XM Handle Bar mount radio, and it plays LOUDER then any CD and a bit LOUDER than my regular HK radio too. I used it on my last 3,100 trip with no problems at all. I just would not want to spend $600 to turm my HK radio into an XM radio just to start having all the problems with the HK that I have read about later down the road. JMHO

Don't spend $500 for a xm unit for your HD radio just to have it quit one day. Get a Kenwood, Alpine aftermarket XM ready radio and a Hawg tune install kit and you'll have better sound and the cost will be about the same.
