Default 88" vs 96" stock cams....

THis isn't really a "Touring" question, but here goes anyway. I have a friend with a '99 Dyna (88"). He has access to a set of 96" cams from a '07 Softail. Will the 96" ones fit his 88"? Is there any advantage to making the switch? He is doing a tensioner replacement, so thought he might switch cams at the same time.

Won't fit. As Rhenicke said the inner bearings are larger on the TC96 (7/8" vs. 1") and the outer bearings are totally different.

Will not fit differnt type of chain drive system, Andrews makes a kit to convert. I think to convert is more work and parts. I would go to a gear drive cam.
