Default You guys were wrong about Elite 3's...

They are NOT a good tire... THEY ARE AWESOME!!!!!

I rode for just a bit today to drop my bike off to get the EVO 30 tooth, black heritage bars and biketronics amp and speakers installed. That thing tracked like it was on rails. I never thought a tire would make such a big difference. Just a thanks for the good info I got on this site.

OK, I'm done now...

Better than the Metezler ME 880? I have been looking hard at them.

I got the Elite 3s the week before I went to Sturgis. Rode in the worst rain I have ever ridden in. They were great. Rode over 4600 miles and they still look brand new.

That headline scared me for a second. I have about 3K on my rear E3. Still have the D402 on front. No complaints.

Yup. Another E3 convert here, and I'm working on my buddy now. We took a long ride and came across those $^*% rain grooves. I went right over them like they weren't even there. My buddy had a hell of a time, so much so that we came home a different way.

Not as quick handling as the Metzelers or the Michelins, but lots of extra wear. I have been getting 9K per (rear)on the above plus the 402s. Have 12 on the E III and it has a little life left.

I have ridden a ot of tires, none handle quicker than the 880s on a tourer.

Maybe someday they'll make them with white walls and I'll try a set. Until then, it's Metzler or Avon.
