Not to offend anyone, but I'd hate to tell someone I had a "tassel" on my bike. It just don't sound too masculine. Same with fringe IMO. But then I think about the little bell hanging off my bike..................???

Jim,
You seem to have a strong opionion about the type of rider who rides with a "get-back" whip on their bike. I suggest you walk up to the next rider you see with one and tell them they're a yuppie and should give up riding if their that paranoid. You don't mind if I just stand back and watch, do you?????

It’s not for use against a cage it is used to attract the driver’s attention. The eye is attracted to movement; drivers don’t always notice a motorcycle because it is moving at or close to the same speed. The movement of the “get back” will attract attention and just might keep you from getting run over.
