Default Problem with security system 07 Ultra

Stopped the othr day to visit some friends and we went to leave only to find that when i got on my ride the flashers started blinkig like I didn't have my fob with me. My fob was located in my winshield pouch. I ended up entering my 5 digit code to get the bike started. Any ideas what's going on? And how to fix it? Or if worse comes to worse disconnect it from the system .The fob battery checks out ok.

The battery in the fob is prolly weak. I think it is a #2023 battery available at any Wally World...

I know you said your fob batt checks out ok but I would try a new batt just to see. I can't think of any other reason for that to happen other than a bad battery.

If that does not solve the problem, try re-programming the fob.

New battery still same result. Won't arm fob. Anyway I can just disarm this thing and start the bike without punching in my code all the time until I can get it into the dealer in the next few weeks

Tried spare fob with no luck. the system is locked up and only way to ride is enter my code with the turn signals. Unless somebody has any other ideas I guess I have to go to the dealer who is an hour away.

Default problem with security system

Is there a cell phone tower in very close proximity?? Had same thing happen to me at a dealer in Memphis-dealer constantly having to help people out because there is a cell tower on the property. Suggested I stand between the bike and the cell tower and put the FOB close to the seat. That worked and I didnt have to use the codes

I remember the same scenario at some gas stations, having to roll away then all was good. Maybe over powered by some other signal? Mike
