Default seat

I have the Zep on my Ultra did my iron butt 1065 miles in 19 hrs and 51 min and could have kept going. Gel and memory foam flatten out and create pressure points. Air is a natural shock absorber and does not flatten out. The Zep is always adjustable. I have tailbone problems and the Zep was my cure.

Has anyone here tried the Hammock Touring Seat, p/n 53051-09? A friend of mine rode about 50 miles on one and said it was the most comfortable seat he has ever ridden on. He wants to borrow the seat for a long ride before investing $500 in one.

According to my good friend who is a service manager at an HD store and recently purchased the Zep, the -09 version of the Zep has two inflatable bladders compared to the obsoleted model that has three. Also, the Zep has to be uninflated for him to make good contact with the ground, compared to the stock EG seat (he's riding an '06 EG Classic) which allowed him to be flat footed. He says the seat works great for trips.

Your in Merced CA - your about an hour from Corbin Factory in Hollister - There, they have a ride in app - where you arrive in the morning and they build a seat to fit YOU and your bike - butt burn will go away... I am on my third Harley since 96 and I have had each one built with this type of custom work... I have ridden many miles in these seats and would NOT ride on anything else... Last April, wife and I rode to Savannah and back - 400 Miles a day for 22 days - we both felt great when we got home... Not sure how tall you are but you are welcome to stop by my house any day to see what a Corbin looks like after 4 years and 40K miles - good as new... I just went to Corbin last week and had a back rest built for ME -

This type of app is where you arrive, meet with the builder - you both talk about what you want and how you ride.. the build starts with many adj and test rides that day... until YOU say its PERFECT - the seat is covered in the leather you pic out and off you go... This service is ONLY at the Hollister Factory and you are so close... I am in Turlock - about 30 min north of you... Email ( harley0711@yahoo.com) me anytime for my home address and phone number... Good luck on what ever you pick out...

If you read and try to understand the info on Corbin's web site... they talk and deal with butt burn... their seats are NOT soft - just for that reason... If you search Corbin here you will find a {Love / Hate } relationship with Corbin.... those that love them - really love them - others with say, too firm - hate them...

I really do not get it... I can sit in my Corbin for HOURS and it fits like a glove... I have had rentals over the years and the stock seats really suck after a few hours..

again,,, good luck..

If nothing else - ride over to Corbin in Hollister and talk to them - the factory is open to ANYONE on a self guided tour - check it out - Man you are in a perfect location... Any good seat will cost your $$$$$$ make sure this is what you want and will fit YOU..

One is now available for the 09's (part 51072-09). I've checked around and seems Chicago HD has the best price, $582.00 including shipping. From all my reading on the forum, it appear the Zep seat could solve my sore butt problems.
Anyone have a bad experience with the Zeppelin? Anyone advise against purchasing the Zeppelin seat?
The 09 stock seats are terrible. See BadX link below with pics why. I had mine done with double memory foam from MCC and no more issues.
