Default Magnetti marelli fuel injection

I HAVE A 1995 ULTRA WITH MANGETTI MARELLI INJECTION i HAVE A FEW APPARENTLY INHERIENT ISSUES, (N0NE THAT I CAN'T LIVE WITH IF NECESSARY) BAD DECELL POPPING, MORE LIKE GUN SHOTS! IF YOU STAY ON THE THROTTLE JUST A HAIR WHEN DOWNSHIFTING IT'S NOT SO BAD. WHEN COLD ITAKES FIVE MINUTES OR MORE TO WARM UP AND SETTLE DOWN TO PROPER IDLE. AFTER BIKE IS HOT AND SITS FOR AWHILE IT AGAIN TAKES A FEW MINUTES TO SETTLE BACK TO IDLE. IT STARTS FINE AND RUNS FINE OTHERWISE. MY DEALER SAYS HE CAN HELP ALL THOSE ISSUES BY PROPERLY REMAPPING IT AS IT MAY NOT CURRENTLY BE. HE SAYS ABOUT AN HOUR LABOR. ANY ONE HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS PROPOSED SOLUTION.

What if any mods does the bike have, like intake, exhaust, motor work, that kind of thing? From what you are describing, sounds like it running lean. Check the plugs. I assume you have no engine trouble codes such as cam position sensor or crank sensor? Good condition plug wires, etc? No exhaust leaks? A dyno run with an exhaust sniffer will be useful, especially if you have an aftermarket dual exhaust with no cross over pipe. A Power Commander will allow a good dyno tuner to dial in a good AFR (air fuel ratio) which should eliminate the decel popping and may help with your idle issues, etc.

it sounds like maps is problem if you can give bike a little throttle and the poppin stops , they give it more fuel at certain throttle positions and rpms. tuner showed me on my map which i , had and what changes he made for corrections...
