Default After Market Fairing Lowers or HD??

I'm looking for a pair of vented lowers for my EGS. The HD lower fairings are expensive (no surprise there). Anyone know of an aftermarket source for a complete set of vented lowers?? Thanks for the help.

You will see some dirt cheap HD knock off on Ebay, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. The HoggChopps seem nice, but are not vented. They contend you get better airflow to the motor than stock, not sure what that does for wind to the rider. Your best bet is probably to keep your eyes open and try to find a used set to save some money, or buy from an online dealer and save some coin that way.

I bought these of eBay and they look good to me. They are at the paint shop right now. Should have pictures next week. $300 shipped to my door and only took 8 days to get them. Good luck Mark

a co worker here bought a set of these by making an offer to the seller. it took abit for shipping to deliver but it's hot here so no big deal. He is very satisfied with them as they are exact duplicates to the HD except they are lighter.

They haven't changed the design of the crash bar in like forever so you can probably go way back on lowers. Thing is they just started making vented lowers in 05 so if you go earlier they will not be vented.

I went back and forth on what to buy, I looked for used ones on ebay. I did not really like the look of the Hog Chopps JMHO. So when I found the knock offs on ebay I to was skepticle about them and the quality. I emailed a couple of people from ebay that left feedback and they reported back pretty decent reports as well as read a lot of the feedback. I decided to give them a try and ordered a set with the make offer and got them shipped to my door for $299. As I have a vivid black SG no worries about paint and when I first opened the package I was a little unsure and there were some minor scratches in the paint and I was a little disapointed. Once I waxed them most if not all the marks came out and they looked pretty good and I feel well worth the money compared to HD lowers. I think the shell is the exact same, the glove boxes are not quite as nice as HD but still functional they have press in plugs instead of the snaps HD glove boxes offer. The paint quality is not the same as the HD product but still I feel look good and for me they will work great as I do not plan to leave them on year round. If I had to order a set and had the extra expense painting them to match my bike then you would be closer to what HD would get for a set. I think the discount dealers are about $525 plus shipping for the vented lowers at least that was for the vivid black not sure if color was more. I will attach a couple of pictures of my bike with the lowers installed, I just installed them last weekend.

I bought the HD ones. The main reason that I bought them was for the perfect color match. Yes I paid a little more. However, I was able to go right home put them on and the fit perfectly. Since I bought them, HD came out with a locking cover that uses the same key as the bike. Of course that was another $200. Just like the bike you all bought, it is a matter of choice and cash available. Bike on!
