How are they with the wind buffering from underneath. I have talked to others as I am also looking at HD, but you have a SG like mine and was wondering what you thought......

Those look really great and I will be getting those as well instead of the HD ones for my 08 RG. I do wish someone would come out with some speaker molds that would fit them though.

I don't see how the lowers could effect air flow to the intake. It sucks air in, it doesn't depend on air flow blowing into it.
From what I understand Cool air with some induction helps bikes run better. On my road king the low wind deflectors made what is called the Van Karmen Vortex which is dead air behind wind deflective devices. Even my Super G wouldnt suck enough air. I was just wondering because I find these chops pretty sweet and wonder if they would have the same effect as the fork deflectors i used to have! So I asume by your answere that there is no change in performance or engine temp?

I ordered a set yesterday for my 09 RG.
I'm on the third windshield. I'm 5'11" 31" inseam... went from stock to the CV 13 w/ recurve and air vent... big improvement, but still some buffeting. Now have the CV GT large (15")... almost no buffeting, except when driving into 20+mph winds at 70 mph. I'm hoping that the lowers will make as big a difference as I have seen on other bikes I've owned. I'll let you know. --Bill
Well I got the lowers yesterday and went out for a ride today. These make a major difference in the buffeting. I have no problems now, no complaints. These are great. I'm so very happy that I bought a set of lowers instead of experimenting with another windshield. Clearview GT Large, and Hogg Chopps. I can read signs. Best Regards --Bill
So those Hogg Chops cut doen on the amount of wind that comes up from the sides of the fuel tank?
