Default Fuel Moto 2010 Streetglide Dyno & Test info

Fuel Moto took delivery of our 2010 Street Glide today. We have already completed some preliminary testing. A couple of quick items to note: All 2010 touring models now have a catalyst in the headpipes for all 50 states, I can already note that this headpipe is VERY hot compared to the 09. There are also heated O2 sensors which are now located in the lower collector just before the catalyst. These new sensors are not only inconvieniently placed, they are also very small at 12MM compared to the 09-earlier 18MM sensor boss. Tuning wise the PC-V will be a new part # due to these 2010 changes, we are working with Dynojet to have tuning products and maps ready as soon as possible and we also have some excellent new products of our own on the exhaust side that we have been working on all year that we will be releasing very soon as well with several new products for the 2010 bikes as well as the 09 and earlier models. Our initial dyno testing shows good promise for the 2010 bike and we are very excited to start our R&D. We will be testing this bike comprehensively and will have much more info over the next several weeks. Below are a few pictures as well as a quick dyno chart from todays testing. If anyone has any questions let me know. Thank you....Jamie

Catalyst in the headpipes for all 50 states should sell a lot more aftermarket headpipes than 09's did. The 09 stock non-cat headpipes will be like gold !

WTF? Catalyst in all of them. Dang, I was hoping to pick up a cheap take off 2-1 header on ebay. There goes that idea...shoot.

Thanks for filling us in Jamie and let me know if you ever get a map for this bubbly popping Boss Fatcat I have. I checked, no exhaust leaks... dang it.

Jamie,

I have a 2010 FLHX and I intend to revert to dual muffler headers for purely aesthetic reasons. I had planned to get a set of take-off OEM headers from a 2009 model for this purpose and add a PCV.

Since the PCV uses the O2 sensor eliminators anyway, why could I not use the 2009 headers and just close off the larger (18mm?) O2 bungs? Would the PCV for the 09' models work with that configuration? Then later, if I wanted to install the AutoTune, just use the Wide Band sensors intended for the 09 models? Is this possible?

Jamie, do you notice any difference in the #'s or curve on the '10 versus previous years? I know a lot of other people have dyno'd their bikes, but curious what the difference looks like on the same dyno.

The 09 dual headpipes should fit the 2010 from what I have checked so far, the tab is on the frame and the LH saddlebag support has the mount. In the next couple of weeks we will be testing fitment specifically. For those of you that want duals on your 2010 SG & RG we will have something for you which may be a much better alternative than finding a takeoff 09 pipe. We are working on a new headpipe for 09-10 bikes with stepped headpipes, 18MM O2 bungs and stainless steel construction. PC-V wise, the 2010 will be slighly different and Dynojet is working on this and as far as O2 sensor eliminators they will be different than the 09 and earlier models.

On our initial base runs our 2010 bike made a few more HP/Tq than our 09 did. I typically do not compare runs unless they are done on the same day, under the same conditions, etc.. as these 2 bikes were tested a year apart. With that being said i think it looks pretty good for the 2010 bike from the initial runs and we are pretty excited to get going with it.
