the default code when i bought my bike was the last 5 numbers of the vin.

knoing the manual bypass is a must. if you aren't comfortable with it, you should practice it until you are. once you get good at it, it only takes about 15 secs to input.

Mine was the same, last 5 of the vin.

Mine wasn't any where close. Must be a dealer specific thing. My last 3 bikes from the same dealership had the same code.
