Its amazing how quickly some HD owners become mouthy immature idiots as soon as someone even suggests another motorcycle might possibly have some merits. Its embarrassing to say I ride the same bike as some of them.
Maybe if their loyalty wasn't so blind HD wouldn't think they can put out the minimum because the customers will think its the best regardless. I guess it's easier to conclude yours is the best when you have looked at nothing else. Maybe we would be talking about the new 110ci motors in all of the touring lineup if HD wasn't so sure their customer base wouldn't stray.
HD bikes are great but their owners are sometimes not so great.
Ever ride a Victory? I have and am not impressed. The drive trains feel loose and the motors with all that bragging feel weak...oh and they sound like a Honda...
I agree. Rode a Hammer (I think that's what it was called, I'm not really up on Victory models)
Anyway. No comparison to the feel of a Harley. Honda VTX 1300 is probably the closest non Harley bike out there to compare to the ride of a Harley in the mid size range. I have rode a 1300 with Vance and Hines pipes. Pretty snapping going thru the gears and sound was pretty good also.
I think the new version is just their way of trying to hide the fact that the Vision looks like Bozo the Clown coming at you!
I've got news for them -- it ain't gonna work.
Once ugly, always ugly.
