Default apes and extended cables/wires on '09 TBW

I ordered 12" bagger apes from Wild 1 and I was going to get my indy Harley-certified mechanic to change the bars, wires, and cables out for me. I called him and we were talking about the cables and wires I would need, when I mentioned I had TBW. He said he forgot about that and that he was hesitant to touch it. He heard from the dealership that the TBW was giving the mechanics there problems. He said I should contact the dealer and see if it would void the warranty if someone else did it besides the dealership.

I think I know what they're going to say....

Anyone put apes on a bike with TBW???

Sure no problems at all. Go seach apes, wild 1 or just go and look at my post. I did the work myself and have had no issues.

I don't even think that you will need TBW extensions on a set of 12" apes. I just put a set on a bud's Road Glide and just changed out the sensor to the 32310-08 because he wanted them internally wired. Plenty long enough.
