View Poll Results: What type of footwear to you use to ride?
Over the past couple of days I've been noticing more and more guys on cruisers in shorts and boat shoes. Probably because its been 92 degrees + for 17 staright days here in Atlanta. Personally, Ive never riden in shorts and dont ever plan to and I always wear my waterproof Alpinestars boots.
I've noticed a few companies make a riding shoe which is more like a high-top sneaker with better protection. That would definitely be more comfortable, especially when riding to work.
Just wanted to see what everyone else thought.
Riding boot?
Riding shoe?
or plain old sneakers?
oops, I suck at spelling. The poll should read "what type of footwear DO you use to ride? And it should say shoe, not show. So much for my college edge-u-ma-cation.

I switch off from tennis shoes to riding boots. If im gonna be out all day or half a day i wear the boots .. If im just running to the store I wear my shoes.. Really boots are the best..

Most of the time I wear my riding boots...I will wear regular boots if we're going out somewhere...never shoes. What gets me are the one's wearing shorts and flip flops! After seeing a guy that had been wearing tennis shoes loose his big toe from getting it stuck in the back spokes (long story...it was a crash with a motor vehicle)...toe was laying in the middle of the road...EMS picked it up and put it in a cooler...unable to attach it later...I'll always wear my steel toe boots when riding.
I always have on Jeans and Boots......My family would kill me if i left the house any other way.....Now after saying that i have to dress in slacks and dress shoes to work in and the last couple days i have riden to work in my work cloths and it does not feel right.....so i will be wearing jeans and then changing when i get to work....

YES, All the time. I consider boots mandatory riding gear.
