We've got a 4x4 truck camper I flat bed my bronco behind. I just bought a Titan Bulldog to add the bike when trailering. We plan on using it as a base to ride out from and live comfortable without all the hassles of motels. Sounds like a good reason to trailer to me.

I was a tool and die maker with GM, until they sent my job, about 200 more die maker jobs and another 4,000 non-skilled jobs to China. Sold my Tahoe and enclosed trailer and bought the Toyota and the Kendon. Not saying I'll never own another GM product, but it's a safe bet !!! Toyoat gets 33 mpg, Tahoe got 12 towing.

Smart move blocking out your license plates. No bagger rider wants to be revealed as a trailer queen!

Nice Idea!

But, just a thought. You might want to paint those "straps" yellow or red or orange. Around here, cops will pull you over if they don't think you have your load properly secured. Which is a good thing cause one time this $%^%*&* didn't secure a plate glass window and in flew up and exploded right in front of me and no choice but to right through a "rain" of glass shards. (I was on my sportbike.)

If I remember correctly, straps are color coded for weight capacity. No big deal if they pull you over, I'm sure no problems once they get a close look, but could waste some time. Also, other drivers behind you could freak out if they think you bike isn't strapped. I know when I'm behind a truck or semi, I always look to see if the load is going to fall out in front of me, cause it's happened before.

That's a pretty neat idea. I wonder how much stress it puts on the floor though when you hit a pot hole or a speed bump. Since there isn't anything to absorb the shock, it seems like it would take a pretty hard hit.

I will stick with my 5x10, condor, 6 Big daddy powertyes, 6-6k lbs d-rings in the floor with steel backplates on everything. Takes me 5 min. to strap it in and it's solid.

The "i don't trailer" thing is old and was never really funny Internet tough guys and only shows how behind the times you are while riding your electric start sofa.

I like to ride but my wife does not ride long distance and her comfort is more important to me that riding the bike is.
