Default Nuvi 265WT

Upcoming trip and don't want to spend the big bucks for a Zumo. Anyone use the Garmin Nuvi 265 WT? A Ram mount is available for this.
Thanks

I have the 265 and have the ram mount. The only problems I've found is the cradle from ram was a little too thick where the power plug goes into the back of the unit. I just shaved some off with a knife. It was a quick and simple fix. Also the unit is hard to see in bright sunlight with sunglasses on! I normally only use it when trying to find a destination in a strange town!! The Ram mount is "rock solid". The unit is not waterproof so during rain it goes to the tour-pak.

I have a 255W with RAM mount and I love it. Works great even in direct sunlight. Couldn't see spending the $500 on a Zumo. Ok so it isn't waterproof, but a ziploc bag slipped over it works like a charm.

that's the reason I bought the Nuvi 550...waterproof and it wasn't much more than the 265

Default Nuvi265

I have the 265NT mounted with a RAM mount on my Ultra and it is great. As pointed out, it is not waterproof and requires a pastic baggie when raining to pretect it.

The Nuvi 550 is the ideal low cost alternative to the Zumo. It's waterproof.

I have a 765T on my Buell 1125R. I have no complaints so far. The motorcycle specific units were to clunky for what I wanted to do.
