i've always bought online and had an indy mount them on the wheels. no down side that i have found. I take the wheels off, drop them off on my way to work and pick them up on my way home. I just had my E3's mounted and the bill was $58 and change, he charged me a 1/2 hour labor to do both wheels plus a few bucks for new valve stems and weights.
+1 for superstore. Great price. FREE and FAST shipping. I sent the tires to the guy who mounts them for me. All I do is ride there and ride home. Simple.

You asked for cons of buying tires online and nobody has listed any yet, so I will give you one. You arn't supporting your local economy. I'm not saying that everyone should spend way more just to buy local, that is just not sensable. Just check online and know your pricing then go see if someone local will match the price or get close enough that you would be happy. There are alot of small town shops and smaller privately owned business that are on the verge of going out of business that could really use every sale they can get. Not trying to go off here, I just find it interesting to see threads like this right next to threads where guys are crying about how bad teh economy is and how they lost there jobs.
