My '09 Ultra Classic has a wobble in the front end at lower speeds. If you just lightly hold onto the handle bar the front end starts to wobble very badly. After about 35 mph it clears up. Any idea what would cause this?
I dropped it off for the 5K service tonight and ask them to check it out.

Check your front tire for excessive wear/cupping. 5k ain't much mileage but mine was cupping at 5k-replaced it at 10k. Can't say the bike was wobbling at low speeds with light grip pressure (I keep a firm grip) but it was making a heckuva roaring noise at 5k.

Add one more, I have noticed a wobble at about 30 mph. I checked the tire pressure and the front was high, about 42 psi, so I lowered it to 35 and it seems to be less susceptible to wobble. It was non exsistent with my wife on the back. I am going to give it a little more time, then raise H#@L with Harley.

I felt I was only me and that a new bike could not possibly be wobbling. But mine does wobble and feels like the front wheel is loose. I have an 09 EGC with 650 miles. Has anyone taken this issue with Harley? what was the outcome? Is there a service bulletin or recall? I won't be able to take mine in until I get back home until next month. BTW I checked the front bolts that hold the tire and they all look ok. On mine I feel the wobble at various speeds. specially on the highway overpasses when the surface changes from asphalt to concrete and back to asphalt. Is this weird?

I have an 04 Ultra and a new tire took care of the occasional wobble I felt. Went over 25k on that tire. Won't do that again. (I bought the bike used.)
