I just got the Ultra back from the dealer tonight and they adjusted the "steering head bearing". Tech said that it was on the low end of the spec (?) and they adjusted into the middle of the range. No more wobble.

They also told me that they found a cut on the front tire and recommended replacing it. I replaced the tire but I do not believe it had anything to do with the tire. I am starting a new thread about the issue with the tire.

Bought my 09 UC saturday and noticed it also has a wobble at 32 mph. Anything faster or slower and it clears up. Bike only has 260 miles on it. Took it to the dealer today and they checked tire pressure, greased bearings and checked bottom bolts that hold the wheel on, still does it. Dealer said to ride it for a while to see if it gets better or worse.

have them change the tire first can not hurt to try it, just have them take one off another bike to try it.

Well they tightened the neck bearings to the tight end of the spec and it temporarily took care of the wobble. But 600 miles later its starting to wobble again.

Its the stinkin tires.

I had the low speed wobble at 30MPH (went away at 40) and the dealer replaced my 407 with a 407F. That summummubitch was worse after 1000 miles, then disappeared after 3000 miles.........The wobble was replaced with cupping and a god awful howl at 50MPH, Im at 15000 miles now. The dealership got the MOCO to send them a 408 and theyre putting it on for me this Wednesday. Seems the company knows theres a major problem and theyre making it right.......Ill let yall know how the 408 works out for me.

Default Torque Spec

Sorry if I missed it somewhere in the thread, but does anyone have the torque spec for the front wheel pinch and axle bolts?

I want to try this procedure before I take my 09 back to the dealer.

Thanks,
John

Had this issue on my 08. they re torqued the steering head and problem went away, It has been gone for over 4000 miles now. I do not know how the new tire size and rake on the 09's react to this.

Got mine back from the dealer, they tightened the steering stem. Although it is less pronounced it is still there. Does anyone know if there is a known issue and tightning this up just covers it up or is this the real fix?
Maybe a little more on the nut and I wouldn't feel it anymore?

Seems strange that it would go into a minor "head shake" and 32 MPH
