I burnt a MP3 CD with 150 songs and the CD/MP3 player on my 2009 SG plays some tracks but will skip over others. I have no problems playing all the tracks on my computer. Did anyone here experience the same problem? Thanks in advance for any input.
(I did a search but didn't find any conclusive answer).

Are you sure they're all mp3 format? The HK only plays MP3, no wma's, or any other file type. Also do you have the latest rev download on the HK?
Yes they're all MP3's, the display goes on the track, I can see the name of the song on the screen, then it just skips to the next one instead of playing it. I'll double check if I have the latest version tonight. Thanks for the reply.
I would re-burn the CD at the slowest setting for your burner. I had similar problems the first time I burnt CDs - I have burned a dozen at the slowest speed without one problem.

OK, thank you for your advice, I will try that for sure.
Make sure you remove any cover art that may be associated with the songs or they won't play either. I use media monkey to prepair all my songs, then burn them with Windows media player at a slow speed.

Yep that is the answer.

I think you nailed my problem, thanks a lot!!! I removed all the cover art and lyrics from the songs and burned at 2x speed and they all seem to work now. Thanks to everyone for the help.
Your CD player just SKIPs period, and or deactivates CD function.?
I'm on an 08' SG and love it, but the head unit seems to struggle with CD's. I've only had it two weeks, and have tried playing both burned music CD's (NOT store-bought) and I did make one MP3 CD but am pretty sure i burned it at highest speed. CD's both mentioned above play o.k. for about 30 mins, then start skipping (like an old record player on a single track).
Anyhow, i can do some testing based on the great advice here, but does anyone else have this problem? Radio and plugging in an MP3 player in AUX jack both work just fine.
Thanks for any time you can save me guys........just the more i get to ride, you know how it is!
