Default Help a brother out?

I've got the complete detachable King TP for a black pearl 09 RG. If you know of someone wanting the HD pak, PM me and I'll make them a sweet deal. Just a thought.

Quick release? Would that be the same set up on the bike end, where you could put a backrest, or just luggage rack? Then the tour pack goes on just as easy? Is there any type of locking function to secure the pack to bike?

thanks

........ one'a the big benefits of going w/an HD Tour Pak is that a great many accessories are built for those models so they bolt right on w/o fiddle-fkn' around doing a 'custom' install for stuff we all know we'll want to add at some point (particularly, more lights).

I'm happy with the detachable chopped TP...with the luggage rack, it hold's plenty for a long trip. I also bought a passenger seat bag from Road Ready that makes traveling for a week + simple.

To answer your question..(2008 and earlier, dont know about later)..there are two different docking points in the back, one for the backrest/luggage rack..and another one for the tourpack. They work the same, just different positions. They make a locking device that is used for the tourpack..real PITA to use...I just use a short cable lock (actually a gun lock) it works great..

I have the little Mutazu trunk with HD detachable hardware also. I can't justify spending a lot of money for something that's only there several times a year. The rest of the time i have a detachable backrest/luggage rack. I reinforced the sides and back with $15 worth of fiberglass cloth/resin. It's rigid and strong enough to handle anything now. I have the optional luggage rack on top of the trunk and it will handle carrying a roll bag just fine. I believe it actually looks pretty sporty on the back of a Road Glide.

on the bike? Now thats how Harley should do it. The damn Road Glide should come with a tour pack & Lwrs !!!
They should do another RG CVO that way. Prob only cost 50K though.

One Q though? Whats on your saddlebag lids?
