Default Review of HOGTUNES FAIRING SPEAKERS

I just bought the HOGTUNES fairing tweeter system. It took about 45 minutes to install (this includes removing the outer fairing). This upgrade was an easy install. The template was the best I have ever used. Simple, easy, quick. After the install, I took the bike on a ride. F an A. This speaker set is simply fantastic. What great sound. To compensate for the quality of the tweeters, I had to boost up my bass on the regular fairing speakers. What an incredible sound. People, you do not need an amp to drive these speakers. At 70 mph, the sound was clear and clean. This was the best upgrade I have made since MEANCITYCYCLES did my seat. 5 STARS!!!!

Not to speak bad about hogtunes, I know their stuff is really good. But I gotta ask...

How is installing tweeter size speakers going to help? The reason I ask that question is most people complain that you can't get any mids or bass out of the existing 5.25" speakers.

What I'm getting at, is it seems to me that adding these speakers would only make an already bright sounding system (due to the lack of bass and mids) only brighter.

What am I missing here?

Default Dealer install

My dealer is offering a special of free install with purchase at $269.
I have the full hog tune set [front-back-lower fairing with the amp]
My problem is I still have a hard time hearing the stereo. I don't wear a helmet and I'm running tru duels with VH mufflers and the bike is loud.

Will the addition of the tweeter do anything for more volume? I never checked what price I could but the speakers for so is $269 a fair price?

Thanks

Default Speaker pod

I took some speaker grids and covered the cloth. It's hard to see the front but they match the pod. I'm happy the new look. I had the padded dash. This looks better, plus sound upgrade. I've got hog tunes front and back.

Thanks for the heads up on the price. That saved a benjamin.
Can anyone tell me if these will help with volume? I know there tweeters but there straight in front and they might not be affected by wind noise as much. What say you guys that have them?
