Put one on my Road King and it was real easy. Get the Fat Boy fender adapter and everything swaps out real easy.

If you plan on putting a 21" wheel you will need some brackets to raise the fatboy fender or else the wheel will hit the fender.

Default Fatboy fender

Does anyone know if the Fatboy front fender will fit on a 97 FLHT?

According to the HD literature, the adapter brackets they are designed for 2000+ touring bikes.

I'm in a place where I'm replacing the wheels and tires and may repaint the hard bags and thought about the front fender fatboy mod as well.

Also if anyone knows ... does the fat boy fender allow more weather to get to the rider as compared to stock fender?

Thanks in advance,

John

road kings look like crap without a fat boy fender.
(change your gas tank while you are at it.....add an electra glide fairing
and a springer front end.)

I had a fat boy fender on my 98 roadking, fit with no problem. If you like the fatboy front fender look, take a look at the street stalker front fender. You'll have to look inthe softail part of catalog. I ordered mine from Zanottis painted gloss black for under 220.00 shipped. It sits low on the tire for a sleeker look. No holes for mounting yet either so you can adjust for what ever tire your running on the front. Sorry dont have a pic right now. You will still need the adapter to fit it on a FLH frontend.
