Default Spun aluminum oil temperature guage not visible at night

I recently replaced my stock guages on an 09 street glide with the spun aluminum guages. My air temperature guage was as accurate as broken clock (twice a day) so I replaced with the oil temperature guage.

My dealers called me to tell me I wasnt going to be happy as the oil temperature guage is lit differently than the others and is not legible at night.
I think the new guages are LED lit and the old oil temperature guage isn't plus the lighting design is different.

While I can't tell you how much of a difference the red guages at night look and that they now match the radio, they look just awesome, however the f..... oil temperature guage is barely visible.

Called HD customer diservice number and well there response was

So I thought about changing the guage out for the air temperature spun aluminum guage that really doesn't work. For now I'm leaving things alone trying to keep my HD OCD in check

The choice beauty over function its a tough one, kinda like a choosing a woman , it would be great if we got both.

If someone really cares out there I will post some pictures.
