Yeah, $1800 for a $200 tire, that's a great deal.

1400 bucks for the plan. Later, 1600 bucks in tire and rim damage (huge hole).

You tell me? In my case I guess it was worth it...

I like to protect the stuff I own, even if I don't USE the protection in the end... kinda like owning a gun. I don't ever want to HAVE to use it, but it's there if I do.

Personally I think people who rip on the people who spend money on warranties or plans are simply either poor themselves and jealous or care way too much about how people spend their money. Neither type of these people do I want to know....just sayin.

Been riding 40 years and never had a flat. Not saying that it will not happen in the future, but it would be a loosing proposition if I had paid for a warranty...even if one was offered way back then. I'll pay for repairs when something breaks, not ahead of time.

I routinely log 30,000 miles a year. I just got the extended warranty. I'll bet I get my money back out of the warranty before it's up.

Oh man ! You shouldn't be bragging about that.

So you can pick up a nail and they'll give you a free replacement with this special warranty. What's to stop me from taking my nail gun and popping a large one in the tire at say 6k miles, just a few 1000 miles before it is spent. Will I still get a new tire free ?

This is an old argument that will never end. Bottom line is if it is worth it to you then it is worth it. Peace of mind, a resale enhancement or not having to worry about coming up with extra change at a moments notice and having it IF you ever need it for a catastrophy is worth it to some and not others. Sure you pay for it up front. What the heII do you expect? Something for nothing? My question is weather you like it or if you don't why the heII do you care what others do? It is nobody's business other than who buys it and who is anyone else to say if it is worth it to them or not? Go ride why don't ya?
