Are the horizontal (smaller) brackets changed or the larger verticals? I think I have the verticals fixed and am anxious to install some more robust brackets that mount horizontally to the speakers.

Default severe vibration 1600-1900 rpm

I experienced this same problem with my 2006 flhx. 3 frame brackets broken. The speaker brackets (both ) compleatly seperated . Made new brackets and welded washers to go compleatly around outside screws on the speaker brackets. Fixed severe vibration however I still had bad vibration at that same rpm. replaced front motor mount . Same problem, I am not computer literate at all but love to read these forums (this is my first reply to H.D Forum ,one finger typer ) any way i had installed a power commander a couple years ago and loaded it with the help of my son but never had a lap top to set the minimum and max throttle settings -its simple once you have a teenager show you- this cured my problem. Bike always worked good rode to Vegas from N.B. Canada but unknown to me 0 idle position was really 6% throttle. Hope this helps someone even if its not your problem .Stuff like cheap tin brackets and the paper thin mounting points should not be on a fairing that faces 100MPH winds. good luck!

My right side fairing brackets were broken. Had them replaced today. I suspect riding over rough roads around here contributed to them failing. Same symptoms; rattle at low idle to about 2000 rpm, then fine once underway.

My extended warranty covered the repair, less the $50 deductible.
