I tried the Hog tow a few weeks ago, called and they were very nice. Waited almost 2 hours in the 95 degree sun and figured out how to start the bike without the tow. Rode it home and fixed the problem myself. Their first solution was a tow to a dealer who said it would take them 2 weeks before they looked at my bike!

It's a good idea to compile a list of questions and scenarios and call your insurance agent about your roadside asst. Not all are the same and some are worthless. I just got off the phone with mine and she was a B***C. Getting answers was like pulling teeth and she acted like she was too busy to be bothered with my questions. When i called her an A**H**E she threatened me but i know she would never divorce me.

Does your "RV package" cost you more than $20.00 a year extra on your policy? Unless you have a boat or rv, think about cutting your rv policy to save money and just pat the $20.00 a year for towing. Just a thought.

Default Roadside Assistance & Towing

I had carried AAA Motorclub cards for 20 years - until I found out about this. I dropped AAA 2 years ago because this covers my Motorhome, Motorcycle, Trailer, and all of my cars.

Riding with 2 other couples this past Sunday and one of the bikes ('06 Road King) had the clutch cable go limp.

We were about 5 miles from the guy's house, all uphill, when it happened.

Called HOG for a tow at 9:45 am. We called them back at 10:45 am. The only tow they could arrange was 1 1/2 hours out, and was going to cost $188 for the tow. (About 5 miles). HOG would pay $100, leaving $88 out-of-pocket.

Called a friend and he came by with a trailer to help us out.

Guess the problem was that it was a Sunday, but I'm keeping my AAA RV card and Foremost Insurance card handy if I ever need a tow.
