Default Road Glide Outer Fairing HELP!!

I'm having unbelievable trouble reinstalling the outer fairing on my 06 Road Glide after putting in my new Hog Tunes speakes (sound fantastic). Does anyone have a tip/trick to getting this back on? Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Default RE: Road Glide Outer Fairing HELP!!

Leave the headlight assembly out for now, line up the mounting pins hooks from the fairing to the frame mounted hooks line up and push down, put the rest of the screws back while lining up the outer fairing to the inner, when its all done connect the headlight plug and snap the headlight assembly back in the fairing. Done. Doc

yeah this trick save me some grief too... I tried for a little bit to do it without pulling the headlight and only succeeded in using every cuss word I knew... pulled the headlight, and had it back on in like 30 seconds... according to my wife, sometimes I am hardheaded that way...lol. had it off a few times since and pull the headlight every time now...

Thanks guys! Me and my son are heading back out to the garage asap and putting your advice to work. We'll let you know how we made out. I understand the cuss word part, that was my afternoon yesterday before I packed it in for the day!
