Guys, keep in mind, this only functions at idle.&nbsp\\; Anything off idle, both cylinders are firing.&nbsp\\; My buddy had it flashed because he rides in parades and wanted it to work at slow speeds, but like I said, it will not kick in unless throttle is at zero position.&nbsp\\; As far as turning it on and off, I would think once you enabled it, you would leave it.&nbsp\\; It's automatic, based on temp and really not that noticeable.&nbsp\\; It is nice, we rode through downtown Chicago in traffic and it kicked in a lot when we were sitting still.&nbsp\\; Made me feel a little better about the torture I was putting the motor through, but let me tell you, me nutz was still sizzlin'.

You don't need cruise control - the on / off feature just uses the cruise indicator in the speedo. Flash green is on - flash red is off.

Have the nSERT Pro Tuner and yes, the function to turn it on or off is still there!Â*\\\\\\; Your dealer is smokin' rope!
Now the dealer is saying that the on / off feature can be enabled with the new tuner (Super Tuner or whatever its called) I have the older SERT tuner. My bike is there now for some warranty work they said they will call Harley to see if there is a work around.

I bought my 2008 in early spring, I just tried to activate this feature following pg 140 in my manual...no such luck, guess&nbsp\\;I need the flash.&nbsp\\; Will take care of same prior to Sturgis.&nbsp\\; It better be "no charge".

My buddy has a late build '08 SG with a SERT and he cannot turn the EITMS off/on with the throttle. My early '08 doesn't have the feature AND I have the SERT, so I guess the new ECM software wouldn't help me.

so the answer is.....&nbsp\\; Is it worth getting the flash if you have an 08&nbsp\\;bike built prior to December 2007?&nbsp\\;
