Default Cruise Control, or how I spend Christmas Day

Wife got me a cruise control for the EG Classic for Christmas. Spend part of the day putting it on the bike. Have everything done but putting the front fairing and the air cleaner back on. I'll finish that up this morning and take it for a maiden voyage.

Guess she go tired of trying to follow me when I didn't hold a steady speed.

Find some road with minimal traffic and get used to how it acts. You will love it!

Cruise control was one of the best upgrades to my bike. I know you will enjoy it.

I LOVE the cruise control on my bike. On long trips it's almost required. I rented a RK Standard last year in CA and didn't realize they didn't come with cruise. At the end of a looooooong day of riding I was jacked to be able to put the cruise on for the ride home. Boy was I dissapointed when I realized the bike didn't have it. [:@]

Also one of my next upgrades.

Is it easy to install?

It took me the better part of the day, but it is not that bad. The worst part is the ignition switch. I am sure there is a posting on here somewhere with instruction on how to remove and reinstall the ignition switch.

If you have a pre-'08 bike make sure you go through the initialization procedure after the bike is warmed up. Don't know if '08's require it, although I understand these need to go back to the dealer for some sort of computer initialization before it'll work.
