Default Alloy Art Touring XR Stabilizer vs. True Track Stabilizer

Anyone install either the Alloy Art Touring XR Stabilizer or theTrue Track Stabilizer for added stability at high speeds and cornering? If so, what improvements have you experienced and which is prefered, the Alloy Art Touring XR Stabilizer or the True Track Stabilizer? Thinking of adding one or the other to my '06 Road King and looking for feedback.

There's plenty of info already submitted on the TT, relatively little on the AA. Although not a part of your question, I just submitted a thread on installing the Ride Str8, a third rear stabilizer option. I gave my reasons for selecting it over the other two, FWIW.

I've had both and the hands down winner is the true track. I had originally ordered a true track and got a alloy art txr instead because my supplier was having troubles getting true tracks. The txr caused alot of extra vibration and I was quite nervous of it bottoming out on speed bumps because it hung quite low. I told my supplier I wasn't happy and ened up getting a true track. As soon as the true track was installed I lost the extra vibes and it handled alot better than the txr. You will find people that have one or the other for stabalizers, but I've had both and for the few extra bucks it's a far better product that made a huge difference in the stability of my bike.

Coming in late on this subject, but I have researched rear stabilizers and found several of them. The Alloy Art approach is different to the rest, but my choice was limited because I own a 1990 bike and only TrueTrack offer a suitable kit. I have just fitting their Trackula kit, which includes replacement swingarm rubbers, bushes and spindle, as well as providing the stabilizer bar.

Fitting has proved straight-forward so far and I am almost ready, weather permitting, to try the bike out for the first time!

TrueTrack calls their rear stabilizer the 'missing link'. Having owned a Firebolt for several years, which comes withthis stabilizerfitted as standard, I reckon it is time to retro-fit one to my Glide! I also bought a kit for my wife's Dyna, to update that as well. Every Harley should have one!

I installed a true track on my RK and what a difference. I didn't really have any wobble problemsor anything prior but had read a lot about it and it seemed to make a lot of sense. It was like a different bike after installing it much more solid in the corners. Would not have a touring model with out one. I might try the alloy art on my next bike. A friend has it andis similarly impressed with the difference in his bike.

Two similar but different products. Check out the design differences and you would go for the TT. Haven't got one myself, but it's on the wish list.

In a word, Odyssey. Pretty pricey but like a Timex, takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

I installed Sta Bo's to get rid of "Bagger Wobble". Here's my link: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...installed.html

B4 I did them, I did a lot of research and rode a few bikes with other stabilizers. My conclusion is that any product that negates lateral movement of the swingarm will drastically improve the handling of any rubber mount Harley. The main differences are price and longevity. Some users report an increrase in vibration after installation. Usually the extra vibes reported for the unit indicate a problem with the installation, and can be fixed.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the stabilizers on the market, but if you do some reading, you'll maybe end up with one that suits you better than another. One thread on one forum is not, in my opinion, enough research.

Good luck!
