Default Extended Bags for Road King Classic

I am starting a search for extended bags on my 2006 Road King Classic. I am looking for a quality product/vendor. Any advice or experiences, nightmares are welcome. Thought's on ABS plastic vs Fiberglass is also encouraged. I prefer buying American Made products.

Thank you

Stache

Default Bags

I have a 07' Road King Classic, I ended up with Sumax extended saddlebags. Bag # 8781. These bags are fiberglass , fit and finish is excellent quality. Also installed Russ Wernimont fender filler. Top Shop make quality products, but you'll have the same problem I had , Harley bag hardware will cost around $500. Sumax bags come complete. One thing to keep in mind with the Sumax bags they open from the from the rear , so if you have a tour pak you can't get into your bags. I found out the hard way, I put a tour pak on after bags.

The search window on this site works great. There are a LOT of threads regarding extended bags and manufacturer quality. That's your best bet!! Good luck!!

OP, are you looking for extended leather bags, like what the Classic has stock? If so, I did find these, but I've no personal experience. http://www.bossbags.com/electra.html

Ended up purchasing the 4" extended ABS bags from ebay for about $530 shipping included, came painted in Vivid black with all the hardware as well. Overall their a good product, holding up well, I had to purchase inside liners later on but that's it...

Any chance you've got a link to them, KnarleyHarley? I'm wondering who the seller was.

I know the ones you are talking about then. How long have you had them? My bike gets rode hard and put up wet, I need bags that will hold up.
