Default My carry pistol

I'm a staunch Second Amendment supporter as I know many Harley riders are. My personal preference for normal carry conditions is the Glock 23. It's not too big and it's not too small and it's about as reliable as an AK-47. With a spare mag I have 26 rounds, which should take care of most situations. When not riding I carry it in a kydex holster in the crossdraw position. When riding, I have to carry it in a vest designed for CCW. Not the best option, but it keeps it concealed.

My other carry pistol is the Ruger LCP. Yeah, it's a mouse gun in .380, but in the summer it's better than nothing when The Glock is too difficult to conceal.

I've been thinkin' bout a Glock 19, mid sized 9, with a Crimson Trace, for an all purpose carry.

A Glock is tough to beat. They won't win a beauty contest, but do what they are supposed to do and do it well.

Lions, personally, I'd pick another caliber over a nine. There's a reason you hardly ever see a LEO agency carrying 9mm guns anymore.

I like a springfield 1911 loaded in a Sparks VM2 or a Crossbreed Supertuck.

I have always been a tshirt and jeans guy so no big guns on me. Wear a tomcat on a ankle holster and a 38 light weight in a front pocket or on small belt bag from desanti. Just keep the bigger guns for travel and house or fun/hunting. Probably gona buy a charter arms 9mm revolver this fall and maybe a lighter auto like the ruger 380 when i can get one.

lionsm13,
If you like the G19, check out the G23. Same size pistol as the G19, but chambered in the larger .40S&W cartridge.

Yeah, I was thinking about that one, but I think 40 S & W ammo is a little more expensive isn't it?
