I have alway liked a DW revolvers as a hunting tool . Great guns ,very accurate and have had a 357 for around 30 years I think. Always wanted a 44 to go with it and finally picked up i last night from a local seller. Looks new 1981 model,6" barrel with extra ported barrel. Took it to the range after cleaning up and check'n it out. Damd fine shooter .Even with my bad eyes i could shoot a 3" 25 yard group off hand . If anyone likes non ccw guns and see one, buy it, you will love there guns. The old 357 with a red dot will shoot 3" 100 yard groups all day. Maybe i'll get to try it on a deer this next year.

That was known as a pistol pack and also had 2 different grips. Only takes about 3 minutes to change barrels. My 357 has a 4" and 8". Put the short barrel on for the ccw range time and had not shot that barrel in 20 years ,just kept the 8" on for hunting with a red dot. But pulled it out about 6 weels ago and started to shot it again and for got how good they are on a range. They all come with a trigger travel stops and have a short hammer movement that is hard to match from anyone ,even s&w custom shop guns. The DW's were the gun to have been many used for long distant steel matches in a couple custom long rounds ,445 supermag and something i can't remember for decades till the revolvers fell out of favor for semi-autos and short matches and just never made it back. To small a company iguess now cz owns them and now they make another oll 1911 type with the name only and some very expensive custom revolvers only. Maybe one day they will build them again.
Maybe cz will again buid them, just not in the higher priced oddball calibers that they did build. No duot they are the best double action built. Atleast the only thing to wear out are springs and we can get those from wolf.
