So what is a poser?.... Is someone who enjoys their bike as much as you do but in a different fashion a poser by definition?
Personally, I like to do long distance (at least 1,000 miles in a shot) riding instead of the bar hopping type short distance rides. Does that make me a poser cuz I don't buy into that lifestyle and wear a full face helmet? or does it make you a poser because you dont ride as long or as hard as I do?
Just wondering.... so let me know so that I know where I fit in and where you do as well.
But to each his own.

PS. I might call my buddy a pejorative name to his face, but would think twice before calling him out on a public forum.
Ummm....i think not riding your bike on a perfect night because it has some dust on it and your neon led lights will show the dust on your chrome(that you dont have to turn on)......makes you a poser....just my opinion......it seems that my rant has opened up a can of worms.....i regret venting on this forum now
His first strike was the metric, but that's easy to overlook.
Second strike is the LEDs, but that's personal preference.
Third strike was the lame excuse.
You make the call.
my plan was to rant and then when i got about 10 pages of people agreeing he was being a poser, i would show him the thread and tell him what a wussy he being......then toss some dirt on his chrome and say lets go for a ride you big poser....lol....and to all the guys that think he was just trying to spare my feelings....you have all been programmed by the women in your lives....men dont spare other mens feelings, if you look fat in your jeans we say it...put down the beer ya fat azz...yes that jacket does look retarded, take it off if your gonna ride with me..........I'm not gonna spend any time wondering if my buddy said one thing but really meant something else......We are men!!!!....LOL

I agree the guy has misplace priorities based on my motorcycle values. Just dont agree with name calling. He paid his fees and he enjoys his bike the way he wants to enjoy it.
Actually I have a friend that is very similar. In fact we have riden together over 40,000 miles over the past three years. I would rather ride than clean a bike. He would rather have it clean and cut short a ride. Has never seen a carwash while riding that he did not want to stop at to detail the dern thing.
Not my values as mentioned above....but it is what he likes.... and hs is a good friend inspite of his cleanliness fetish.

I sometimes want to avoid a guy that calls me on Saturday mornings once in a while. He likes to ride way too slow all the time and it kills my fun when going longer distances with him. It feels like I am dragging an anchor. Dude owes me a set of brake pads, from all the miles I put on with him. I like the guy and I don't want to hurt his feelings. So I make excuses when he calls on a day that I want a good long ride at my own pace. They might be lame excuses if I am caught off gaurd.
Any chance you might have rubbed him wrong on the last ride? Just a thought. If it were me I'd wanna know.
