Default Wide Glide on XL1200C

I was F'n with this for a while and over the Holiday just got it all together.
I have a few bikes to ride and this now has it's own personality.
I got a good deal on the front so all together I think I have less then $400 into the conversion and maybe a half a day of actual work...if you want to call it work. Kept me out of the bar for about 1/2 day.

Love the tire, put the same one on mine yesterday. How does it ride? Can you feel the tread?

I have the same tire on the back. so it's not bad.You can't feel the tread or anything. When you run a Bias tire and radial it wiggles around a bunch.

It works good with the lower shocks and stiffer front end. The taller, softer sidewalls balance out the stiffness from the suspension if that makes sense.

it all depends on what you like...I don't mind it, but I don't put on major miles like some. This is my "around town" ride.

Interesting cause I still have the stock rear tire. Wasnt sure I wanted to do the rear yet because its slightly narrower than my stock one.

The front will feel soft and the back will feel very stiff. Think about it this way...The back side wall and tire construction is more ridged and transfers the feedback from the road surface directly to the bikes suspension which will have the shocks in the rear doing the work. The front bias tire will have a softer construction and will absorb most of the feel before it passes it along to the front forks.
Try and push in on the side wall with your thumb. The bias will be easy and soft, the radial will be next to impossible to move at all if both are inflated correctly.
