I have a 04 883 xlc I converted to a 1250. I have put around 3500 miles on it since I converted it this winter and everything was great. In the last week or so the bike started fouling after about 15 miles or so of riding at higher speeds and is steadily getting worse I am sure I have a plug going bad the engine seems to run a little hotter and the plugs looked a little brown like they are hot anyway from what I am reading this is from too lean of air fuel mixture. If I ride 20 miles and let it sit for 10 minutes I have to use the choke to start it. Does anyone know what needles I should install to remedy this right now its a 170/42 compression is higher on the the motor now 10 to 1 anyway if you guys have and recomendations on needles to try please let me know.

I had a Yost in a 1995 Roadking and a friend had a one size larger slow jet, a 1988 1200 Sportster needle, and 2 coils cut off of the slide spring. His ran as good as mine for about 1/4 the price.
There was another thread on this board about the Yost, and the general concensus was that it is not really worth the money.
What I would like is a EFI for our Sportys, after riding a Dyna with it the fuel injection I was much impressed how much smoother it seemed and you didn't have a choke to mess with. When the bike was cold it ran as smooth as when hot but there was no petcock so no reserve, the Dyna had a fuel gauge that the dealer didn't really trust.
