Default Sportster Face Lift.

Just curious, with winter coming on I have deceided to consider a repaint on my 1200. It has a Sceamin Eagle package and is fully chromed out. My question is what would be a good color for resale if I wanted to sell or trade in at a later date. I know color opinions vary, but I think most riders have a preference. Im told by a few, Black is the way to go. What do you all think.

I dont think I would paint a Screamin Eagle. I woult think the resale value would go down on it. One big seller is that it will be a collectors item when it is old and original paint is a biggie.

I'm guessing what he means is that he has an SE A/C & exhaust, since I've never seen an SE Sportster.

In that case, my vote is for Red. But then, I'm partial to that color.

For resale value I would say black but I am partial to my black and orange. I always get compliments on it.

Well, it is a nice bike.

Say, where do ya get new tank logos? I saw a webpage with a .pdf of them all, but I got a new laptop and don't have the bookmark anymore.

I'd like to repaint my Iron tank and fenders and I want to change the logo. And I'm probably not keeping it black.

So, to that point, I'd still say paint it black.

That's what Mick told me, anyway.
