For resale nothing works, just leave it alone, when you customize a bike plan on losing the money or keep the bike and enjoy the look you have created and leave it in your will.
There is a custom helmet dealer in Texas called Skull Crush Motorcycle. Found them in Iron Horse Magazine. They mostly deal carbon fiber helmets. I saw a bike that they had wrapped in carbon fiber. The tank, and fenders were all covered in carbon fiber. Looked awesome. I found some pics. I'm thinking of having mine carbon fiber wrapped instead of re-painted.
