Default Anyone Remove The Idle Mix Adj. Cap with the Carb Still on the Bike?

I want to access the idle mixture adjustment screw but the cap is still on the carb. Is there a way to remove the cap and access the screw without removing the carb? It looks like it can be done. Anyone have any tips?

Thanks,
Barry

yes get yourself a small drill and a drill stop for it,then drill plug. 1/8 drill and stop.

REPEAT do NOT drill without stop on drill or you will mess up mixture screw big time.
then insert a screw in plug and pop that baby out of there, just remember the factory numbers of turn on mixture screw.
good luck

I drilled mine out without removing the carb.I just wiggled the carb off the intake manifold. Then flipped the carb and drilled the cap off. When I drilled the cap it actually caught and started to spin. The cap just about fell off.I didn't even come close to hitting the screw.
