I agree with ya there im also looking at a sporty in KCK. it is an 01 for $3000 14k miles and a ding in the gas tank but its an 883

yup, take a compression gauge with you and if it's got decent compression, it's an easy fix to get it running.

On the '88 I went up there today after he got it running (claims it was out of gas..) I looked at it, it sounded like it needed a little playing with I offered him $2000 cash right there and he got pissed snatched the key out of the bike said bye and went inside... And I thought what a business man he is shows me a bike that he says "runs and rides great" and it doesn't start, then has the balls to be pissed when I want him to come down a bit on the price. I mean I expected a counter offer or something but what ever I am going to go look at this 01 sporty for 3k the way I see it... his loss
