Hey everyone, im new to the forums and I got a quick question.
I pick up my bike this Wednesday (2009 883 Iron) and am getting the Vance and Hines Black Staggered Short Shots along with a SE Heavy Breather...
Would it be better for me to just get the dealer to do a stage 1 remap (which only ADDS fuel in certain areas but doesn't subtract) or should I get the Vance and Hines Fuel Pack and use the tune they recommended for my setup?
Thanks ahead of time for all responses!

Indeed I am new but I did a lot of searching and hear goods and bads of both fuel pack and remapping.
Remap will only cost me $150 from Harley, the Fuel Pack will cost me $300 from V&H. Im wondering if it is worth another $150. Keep in mind I will not be doing anything further to my bike than the pipes and intake. I spent way too much money on building my cars engine and I don't want my bike for speed. Pipes and Intake just help it run nicer. :-)
The HD download or remap, is a "one size fits all" deal, designed (tuned) specifically to work with the SE A/C (not the Heavy Breather) and the SE exhaust pipes. While it may be better than nothing in your case, it is far from the best choice.

I'd try to hold out for a used FuelPak. You can find them on eBay or the Classifieds here for 150 bucks, and while it's not as tinker friendly as the PC III, it's more customizable than the HD remap and doesn't require a dyno tune like the PC III does (at least as recommended).
I have a used (about 4K miles on it) HD Heavy Breather if you're interested.
